Al Kharafi Construction has won a major US$408 million contract from Dubai South Properties to build the third, fourth and fifth phases of the luxury South Bay residential development. Situated in the heart of Dubai South along Expo Road, South Bay will feature over 800 premium villas and townhouses, over 200 luxury waterfront residences and a 1km spectacular lagoon. In addition, the project provides for the creation of a 3-kilometer promenade with cafes, beach areas, a clubhouse and world-class fitness centers.
Announcing the signing of the new contract, Dubai South Properties said it will now accelerate completion of the next three phases of the project and officially begin work on the fourth phase. This decision is driven by strong demand from investors and buyers for housing in the South Bay and the rapid sale of a limited number of units previously put on the market.
The fourth phase, scheduled for delivery in the first quarter of 2027, will include 138 properties, including three, four and five-bedroom villas, as well as a limited number of five and seven-bedroom luxury townhouses. Last year, Dubai South Properties appointed Ginco General Contracting to build the first two phases and infrastructure of the project.
