Aldar implements cloud-based smart management system at Saadiyat Grove
As part of the development of Saadiyat Grove, a mixed-use development in Abu Dhabi's cultural center designed to become a model of smart urban living on a global scale, Aldar Properties (Aldar) has announced a partnership with Siemens. The agreement was signed today at the World Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi.
At Saadiyat Grove, Aldar will implement the UAE's first cloud-based smart neighborhood management system using Siemens' Xcelerator portfolio and Building X cloud platform. It is currently the world's largest investment in smart technology for a mixed-use residential and commercial development.
Under Aldar's Net Zero plan, the system will help reduce emissions through advanced energy analytics. It will also enable residents to lead an environmentally conscious lifestyle by providing a more personalized, health-oriented experience. Artificial intelligence technologies will provide advanced safety measures and predictive maintenance, while Internet of Things sensors will monitor noise levels and air quality. To maximize operational efficiency, the platform will also track asset lifecycles and incorporate digital twins of the neighborhood.
At Saadiyat Grove, the beneficial use of artificial intelligence-based analytics will accelerate asset management, ensuring first-class living conditions for residents and maximizing productivity for office tenants.

The integration of these solutions will enable centralized monitoring, secure data management, and uniform quality and operational standards across Aldar's portfolio, including new and existing projects. The application of advanced analytics will be scalable and will form an important part of Aldar's broader investment in technology infrastructure for improved customer service, more efficient operations and greener solutions.
"By introducing the UAE's first cloud-based neighborhood management solution at Saadiyat Grove, we are taking a significant step in the large-scale adoption of digital technology in real estate," said Aldar Development CEO Jonathan Emery. - Our partnership with Siemens is part of Aldar's ongoing efforts to transform lives and landscape for positive impact, leveraging innovation to introduce new sustainable living solutions and significantly reduce emissions. The application of this advanced smart neighborhood management system at Saadiyat Grove is setting the standard for smart living in Abu Dhabi, and we look forward to expanding its use in the Saadiyat Cultural District and beyond."
"We are honored to work with Aldar on this ground-breaking project," said Helmut von Struve, CEO of Siemens Middle East and UAE. - By leveraging the latest offerings of Siemens Xcelerator, our open digital business platform that enables faster and more scalable digital transformation, Aldar will be able to manage its portfolio more efficiently and provide residents and visitors to the district with a more comfortable and safer environment."
Located in Abu Dhabi's cultural district, Saadiyat Grove is set to become a model of smart and sustainable development both at home and abroad. One of its features will be a business park with four Grade A office buildings with a total net lettable area of approximately 26,000 square meters. In addition, Saadiyat Grove will have a retail area of 78,000 sqm of net leasable area, including public retail spaces, two shopping boulevards and a central shopping center with new dining, entertainment and retail concepts.
