Dubai will expand affordable housing
Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment has signed an agreement with Binghatti Developers to work together on sustainable and affordable housing projects in Dubai, according to the organization's press office.
Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Binghatti Developers. The agreement aims to strengthen public-private cooperation in sustainable housing development in Dubai.
Under the partnership, the parties will focus on sharing knowledge, adopting global best practices in housing development and seeking joint investment opportunities. Special attention will be paid to the use of modern technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), in project management and construction.
Under the terms of the agreement, Binghatti will provide MBRHE beneficiary citizens with access to quality housing at an affordable cost. Various types of properties, ranging from apartments to villas, are envisioned at different stages of readiness: in the design, construction and ready for occupancy.
MBRHE CEO Omar Hamad Bu Shehab said, “We are committed to actively engaging with the private sector to innovate in housing and provide modern and sustainable homes for citizens.”
Binghatti Developers Chairman Muhammad Bin Gatti added: “The collaboration with MBRHE will provide quality and innovative residential real estate solutions that meet the needs of citizens.”
Partnerships between government entities and private developers are becoming increasingly relevant with the rapid population growth and urbanization in Dubai. MBRHE has previously entered into similar agreements to increase citizens' access to modern housing. The new move with Binghatti reflects the authority's efforts to implement a long-term strategy for sustainable residential infrastructure development.
Dubai residents will have more options for affordable housing created with modern technology. This means citizens will have more comfortable, energy efficient and durable homes, which has a direct impact on quality of life and housing maintenance costs.
“We are committed to expanding our cooperation with the private sector to provide sustainable and quality housing that meets the expectations of our citizens,” emphasized MBRHE CEO Omar Hamad Bou Shehab.
The signed agreement between MBRHE and Binghatti Developers opens new opportunities to expand sustainable and affordable housing in Dubai. The initiative reflects the city's strategic focus on creating a comfortable urban environment and supporting citizens in their living arrangements.
