U+A and Egis Group create innovative residential project
Part of Egis Group, U+A, acting as lead consultant and architectural designer, is delivering the ambitious Aldar Rosso Bay and Nikki Beach Residences project. Located on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, the project combines luxury, functionality and sustainability in contemporary residential design. Ahmad Shuman, Director of U+A, reveals the design philosophies behind the project.
U+A's work includes guiding the architectural design from the conceptual stage to construction documents. The project is currently progressing through the bid documents phase in preparation for the start of construction. The project consists of 1,998 residential units in six towers (Nikki Beach Apartments and Rosso Bay Apartments) ranging in height from 18 to 23 stories and in number of bedrooms from one to five. The design focuses on creating a luxurious yet functional environment that harmonizes with the coastal location.
The architectural design utilizes sinuous forms of balconies and terraces and materials appropriate for a resort setting. Large windows provide expansive views and natural light, while the interiors prioritize comfort and aesthetics. The design takes into account the natural landscape and surroundings of Al Marjan Island. Buildings are angled to maximize views and minimize visual clutter. An entrance boulevard and lush landscaping in public and private spaces create a strong connection to the surrounding environment.
The Aldar Rosso Bay and Nikki Beach Residences project integrates sustainable practices and materials that meet LEED and Fitwell standards, emphasizing a commitment to environmental responsibility and resident well-being. Construction methods prioritize energy efficiency, resource conservation and indoor air quality, creating a healthier living environment.
