Fashion house Karl Lagerfeld is about to enter the UAE real estate market
Another renowned international fashion brand is preparing to enter the real estate market of the United Arab Emirates. This time, the first project in the Middle East, consisting of 51 villas in the prestigious Meydan area of Dubai, will bear the hallmarks of designs developed by legendary fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld.
Previously, villas under the Karl Lagerfeld brand were built in Malacca (Malaysia), Marbella (Spain) and the center of Lisbon (Portugal). In addition to the villas, the brand's signature hotel also opened in Macau. Founded by renowned German designer and fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld, the brand has partnered with Taraf, a division of Abu Dhabi-based Ys Holding that specializes in developing exclusive real estate projects.

The project features 51 villas with a number of bedrooms from five to seven, ranging from 721 to 1790 square meters. Future residents will be able to personalize their property by choosing one of two façade design options: “soft modern” and “urban modern”.
“Each facade is harmoniously combined with a grand entrance that evokes the charm of an 18th-century mansion, leading residents to a spiral staircase,” the official statement said. In addition, the architectural feature, which draws inspiration from the fashion industry, will be a “runway” connecting the villas to the clubhouse and luxurious landscaped areas.
Taraf, in addition to the Karl Lagerfeld project, has completed or is currently working on prestigious properties in the UAE such as Luce at Palm Jumeirah, Terrazzo Residences at JVC, and the upcoming Terra Golf Collection and Cello projects.
