Sobha Realty launches island property in Umm al-Quwain

Leading regional property developers Sobha Realty and Umm Al Quwain Properties have reached an agreement to commence work on a luxury property project on Al Sinia Island in the Northern Emirate. The Sobha Siniya Island project aims to provide its residents with an eco-friendly living environment, a private coastal area, areas for motorised and non-motorised water vehicles and ultra-luxury living surrounded by nature.

Project features include a family golf course, floating pavilion, event halls, spiral bridge, light and water show, white sand beaches, mangroves, tidal trail, fiesta plaza, community centre, eco-park and playground.

The agreement was signed at Al Diwan Al Amiri by Sheikh Mansour bin Ibrahim Al Mualla, managing director of Umm Al Quwain Properties, and PNC Menon, chairman and founder of Sobha Group, in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain.

Special attention will be paid to the protection of wildlife and archaeological sites in the development of the project. With its rich biodiversity, diverse flora and fauna, dense mangrove forests and abundant wildlife and marine life, the island can offer an exceptional lifestyle in the midst of nature.

Sheikh Rashid at the signing ceremony reaffirmed the Umm Al Quwain government's commitment to supporting sustainable development that preserves natural heritage and promotes widespread growth. He emphasised that the partnership with Sobha Realty demonstrates the government's efforts and vision to integrate modern amenities into the pristine natural environment of Umm Al Quwain.

Al Sinia Island will showcase the island's rich biodiversity and historical significance, offering its residents a luxurious and peaceful lifestyle. Sheikh Rashid expressed his hope for the successful completion of the project, which aims to enhance the well-being of the local community.

PNC Menon said that for Sobha Realty, the realisation of a project of this scale marks a significant milestone, highlighting the company's commitment to innovation, sustainability and luxury. He added that the collaboration with the UAQ government is aimed at transforming a nature reserve into an ultra-luxury destination offering an unrivalled living experience.

Group co-chairman Ravi Menon added that the project will combine luxury living with the tranquil environment of an island surrounded by the calm blue waters of the Persian Gulf and lush, unpolluted landscapes. Sinia Island will provide residents with the opportunity to enjoy modern amenities and efficient solutions, demonstrating Sobha Realty's commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Managing Director Francis Alfred said that the Sobha Siniya Island project, being the first venture outside Dubai, will not just offer a new residential neighbourhood, but will provide an integrated modern lifestyle amidst the island's nature and history.
